The job

Your tasks

For our client, a company that process horse meat for human consumption, we are looking for a maintenance technician - 50% of the time maintenance and repair of trucks, also bringing vehicles to the inspection on a regular basis, 50% of the time general maintenance of the production hall.

  • Replacing and sharpening knives
  • (Electro-) Mechanical maintenance of the packaging machines
  • Maintenance of smokers
  • Detecting and solving malfunctions
  • Replacing sensors, replacing seals (in case of oil loss)
  • Replace engines (both in production and trucks)
  • Repair of pumps and water pipes
  • General electrical works

Working hours
  • Full time

Offer

  • Fully legal employment according to Belgian law among which social security, health insurance, building up the right for a Belgian pension
  • Salary depends on experience, minimum 17€ gross/ h, day hours
  • Furnished accommodation - single rooms, unlimited internet, water, gas and electricity included - payable 72€/week
  • Refund of transport cost to Belgium up to 125€ after four work weeks
  • End of year bonus - 8,33% of gross yearly salary
  • Holiday bonus - 15,38% of gross yearly salary

Your profile

This is what you need
  • Mechanical + Electrical (high and low voltage) knowledge
  • Knowledge of steam generators
  • Knowledge of conventional turning / grinding
  • Knowledge of TIG welding
  • Computer knowledge (must be able to look up and order spare parts himself)
  • Driving license C and code 95 (CE is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of English, German or French
  • Stress resistant – you would be the only one technician for everything
